Labour’s first Budget: How does it impact you and your business?

October 31 @ 12:30 - 13:30

Generic event image

The new Chancellor is set to deliver her maiden Budget at the end of October, where she will set out her plans to tackle the disputed £22bn black hole in the nations finances.

With Labour making a firm commitment to not raise rates of income tax, national insurance or VAT, speculation is rife that Capital Gains Tax could be under the microscope, as well as a key capital gains relief for company-owning freelancers – Business Asset Disposal Relief.

Join IPSE’s policy team the following day for their reaction to the Budget and insight into how any new measures could impact you, your business, and the wider self-employed sector.

Although we can only speculate on the final announcement, we expect to discuss tax changes, pension relief and any other “rabbit out of the hat” moments.

Hosted by:

  • Andy Chamberlain, Director of Policy, IPSE
  • Fred Hicks, Senior Policy & Communications Adviser, IPSE
  • Joshua Toovey, Senior Policy & Research Officer, IPSE
