Course information:

This comprehensive 5-week course focuses on helping you overcome the key obstacles that most established freelancers and independent professionals encounter on their business journey.

Having worked with over 100 IPSE members and business owners in recent years, life coach and wellbeing consultant Kate Horwood has identified pivotal areas where people typically get stuck – Time and energy management, resilience, wellbeing, stress management, mindset, and the critical intersection of business vision and personal fulfilment.

She’ll be sharing practical, real-world skills and straightforward strategies that go beyond the surface, making a substantial impact on the tangible results you’ll achieve in your business for sustained growth – the very same strategies that have proven successful for numerous IPSE members she has worked with.

Throughout the course, you’ll have the chance to assess your current business standing, pinpoint and resolve what’s holding you back, and you’ll emerge with some powerful new habits that will allow you to move ahead confidently on your path towards a more resilient, productive, and fulfilling freelance career.

Session outlines:

Session 1 (19th March): Recognising & Managing Stress – In this session, you’ll not only discover effective methods to reduce your overall stress levels but also gain insights into the concept of the ‘stress cycle.’ This understanding will empower you to work with stress, turning it into an advantage for your business.

Session 2 (26th March): Selfcare for Busy People – In this session, you’ll learn to cultivate straightforward yet powerful wellbeing tools and techniques. These not only bolster your health and prevent burnout but also directly contribute to enhancing your energy, focus, and productivity levels.

Easter break: w/c April 1st

Session 3 (9th April): Successful Minds – In this session, you’ll discover how to nurture a resilient mindset to overcome the challenges of self-employment – tackling uncertainty, embracing risk, and understanding the pivotal role of a desire-driven business vision for success in both your business and overall life.

Session 4 (16th April): Master Your Day – In this session, you’ll gain access to proven and practical tools to master your time and energy. These empower you to consistently operate in a proactive state rather than a reactive one, fostering a less stressful and more productive approach. Additionally, you’ll discover how to establish powerful routines and set healthy boundaries with both yourself and others.

Session 5 (23rd April): Shaping Future Success: In this final session, we bring it all together for a comprehensive review and strategic planning. As we connect the dots from the previous four sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to solidify your learnings, set clear intentions, and shape your vision for your future success. There will also be time to share insights and address any lingering questions.

Delivery method:

This 5-week course will be delivered as live webinar sessions. The sessions will be delivered via Zoom.

Course material:

Live attendance is preferred and highly recommended, however each session will be recorded and available for 7 days for people who can’t make a session live and need to catch-up.

Your online training sessions will be run by Kate Horwood.

Kate is an experienced wellbeing consultant and life coach who supports hard-working, busy professionals and leaders. She uses science-based tools and techniques to help people create new and improved healthy habits: new ways of thinking, behaving, working, and the belief they need to reach their full potential.

Kate serves as a coach and mentor to both seasoned business owners and those embarking on their entrepreneurial journey. With a track record of supporting over 100 IPSE members in recent years, she brings a wealth of practical experience to this course. The tools and strategies she imparts are not only realistic and attainable, even for the busiest individuals, but they’re also the very same ones that have empowered other IPSE members to experience improvements in well-being, performance, and overall quality of life.
