What does the Labour Government mean for contracting?

October 22 @ 12:30 - 13:30

Event image

The government has promised to make significant changes to the work landscape, with intentions to introduce a single status of worker (for all but the genuinely self-employed), potential restrictions on zero-hour contracts and the establishment of a new enforcement body – the Fair Work Agency. The Chancellor is also eyeing up possible tax rises in the Autumn Budget which could hit businesses. But what does all this mean for those who work for themselves?

Join this webinar hosted by IPSE’s Andy Chamberlain, Chris Bloor from Caroola and Seb Maley from Qdos where they’ll be discussing the following questions:

  • What might change under Labour’s New Deal for Working People?
  • How could umbrella workers be affected?
  • Will we get the holy grail of clear employment status rules?
  • Is there any prospect at all of IR35 reform?
  • What should we be braced for in the forthcoming Budget?
  • We’ll also touch on the Supreme Court’s landmark ruling on the PGMOL case and what it means for future IR35 cases
